Allison Hopkins is a Licensed Psycho-Educational Specialist, Nationally Certified School Psychologist, and South Carolina Board of Education Level 2 School Psychologist. She is the founder of Charleston Educational Services, which specializes in providing families with high quality evaluations and support.

She received her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from James Madison University and completed her Master of Arts in Psychology and Specialist in Education in School Psychology at The Citadel. She has extensive experience working as a leader, educator, and school psychologist in the recreational setting, private practice, as well as public and charter schools in New York, Washington, D.C., and South Carolina.

Allison has been working with children and adults with special needs and diverse abilities for 20 years. She is passionate about empowering families, acting as a resource, and providing a holistic approach to give children a safe and healthy environment where they can personally develop, maximize independence, and expand upon their success. Allison was consistently rated as a Highly Effective School Psychologist in the District of Columbia Public Schools, served Low Country and Long Island families as a BCaBA providing ABA therapy, and was a Group Leader and Specialist at Camp ANCHOR for over 10 years. Her experience includes conducting individual and group counseling, administering comprehensive psychological evaluations, developing functional behavioral assessments, creating individualized behavioral support plans, crisis response, and providing consultation to multidisciplinary school staff and parents to support the social, emotional, behavioral, and learning needs of children and adolescents.

Allison resides in Charleston with her husband and their two daughters. They enjoy trips to the beach, ice cream at the park, and spotting fire engines around town. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, pop culture podcasts, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
